Electric Overhead Travelling Cranes

A VCIPL Electric Overhead Traveling Crane are designed & manufactured in accordance with IS 807codes of practice for design, manufacturing, erection, testing of structural part of the crane and IS 3177 codes of practice for design of overhead traveling crane for all Applications.

As with all VCIPL overhead systems, our single girder cranes can span either all or part of a building as required. In the design of components adequate factors of safety as per relevant code is allowed impact, fatigue, worn and stress concentration factors are taken whenever applicable. All drives are designed to give sound & efficient performance.

Design

Bridge Girder

The bridge girder is fabricated from RSJ / Box type construction in the manufacturing. The maximum deflection of the bridge girder is limited to span / 1000 of the live loads. Bridge girder designed to sustain stress creating due to vertical & catered forces with impact.

Hoisting Machine

The hoisting machinery / crab is designed with IS 3938 in modular construction which simplifies repair & maintenance consist of a VCIPL heavy duty industries type std. wire rope hoist.

End Carriages & Truck

End carriages are fabricated from rolled steel section / plate with adequate diaphragms & stiffeners to give a rigid construction. The girder with the gusset plates is set on end carriages joined with bolt in rimmed holes, rubber buffer is provided on both the side of end carriages for absorbing the jerks. Twin drive arrangements will be provided for Long Travel motion, Central Drive arrangement also available on request.

Controls

The crane is controlled from pendent push button station / Radio Remote Control which is suspended from one end of bridge at a suitable height from the floor level with stepped down voltage of 110V, 24V. Dust proof powder coated sheet – metal housing consists of contactors overload relays fuses, transformers etc. Emergency stop button are incorporated in all cranes to shutting of the power to the main connectors.

Motors & Brakes

The motors used are specially crane duty suitable for frequent starting, reversing and braking in accordance with IS 12615. All trolleys are drive motors with suitable AC / DC / brakes as standard equipment with smooth running properties

Single Girder EOt Crane

  • Capacity: Up to 15 Tons.
  • Span: Up to 30 Meters.

  • Widely used for large capacity types with longer span
  • Used for high frequency & hard work in any motions
  • Suitable for large headroom (distance between building ceiling and the traveling rails)
